We have obtained and catalogued copies of all available software and
manuals
Established use of Version 3. The launch of Version 4 (initially released in a form
which contained many bugs) then delayed progress. The project switched to work with
Version 4. We receive the latest versions as they are published.
The team have now become familiar with query writing. The investment has now
produced for the project someone able to assist projects with data extraction. The team
have also developed a methodology for looking at research questions to systematically
ascertain if MIQUEST can answer them.We are also interested in researching the impact of
feedback to practices on their practice of EBM (Evidence Based Medicine.)
Carried out a survey of Health Authority and academic institutions use of MIQUEST
in South Thames.

would be interested in supporting a course.
Contact made with and basis for joining established with the CHDGP (Collection of
Health Data from General Practice) project in Nottingham. This is the national group using
MIQUEST to attempt to improve data quality, and study trends in morbidity using data from
General Practice.
A meeting of regional users and those who ,had expressed an interest was
held in March in East Surrey. Further meetings are planned and will be announced both on
this website and by invitation to those who have already shown an interest. Please contact
us if you were unaware of the previous meeting to ensure you receive an invitation to the
next meeting.
